STRANGE WATER MUSIC
As a part of my senior thesis at the Hartford Art School, I created a company, Strange Water Music, to help local bands get signed to other record labels. The idea was to create press kits, including album art, business cards, cover letters, press photos, and an album release poster that all fit within a designed folder. I also created some button and sticker designs for both bands and the company.
I focused on two artists from Old Saybrook and gave both different treatments. Patrick Lynch I treated with traced elements from our photoshoot that were then digitally colored. For Sleeping Lessons, the band wanted thin, clean lines in their logo. The Sleeping Lesson poster was then edition silk screen printed using 4 different color screens.
